virgos lounge

Hello! This is the dress I wore on for my birthday meal last week. I spotted it in the brands section of Topshop in Oxford Circus and fell in love with it! I hadn't heard of the brand before but the whole collection was beautiful! I'll definitely be ordering from their website! My favourite pieces: 1. Kerry Jumper
I love this jumper! The burgundy colour is perfect for this season and the jewel details give it a luxe look. http://www.virgoslounge.com/collections/new-arrivals/products/kerry-jumper 2. Jem Blouse
I loove the beaded detailing on this blouse and the cute Peter Pan collar! The bright white colour makes it a perfect, versatile transition piece for spring. In the meantime, the collar would look lovely with a cosy jumper over the top. 3. Riya Blouse
http://www.virgoslounge.com/collections/separates/products/riya-blouse-purple This is quite similar to the Kerry Jumper. I love the deep burgundy colour and the jewel detail, it looks almost regal! I think it would look great with simple accessories to let the shirt 'do the talking.' 4. Aggy Jacket
i think this is a great statement piece for the party season. Team with skinnies and a blouse and you have a perfect luxe look! thanks for reading! xxx

21 12 12

hello! i apologise for the lateness of this post! This was my OOTD for the 21st of December. It's strangely warm in the UK for December! I'm wearing my devore tunic from Zara! It's a bit different to my usual 'style' but I love it! The pattern is kind of Art Deco, with polka dots and a floral pattern at the bottom. I paired it with my cable cardigan and ankle boots. I've been falling behind on my 12 days challenge so I'll be trying to catch up over the next few days! thanks for reading! xxx

Today I'm wearing my trusted topshop studded loafers and aa disco pants with a cream cable jumper and a red paisley jacket. i picked up the jacket in a vintage shop, a bargain at £5! I think the red adds a festive touch! I added the fur stole from my topshop coat for extra warmth!

12 days of christmas

hello! i'm so excited at the moment, IT'S CHRIIIISTMAS in only 6 days! i'm waiting to break up for the holidays and watch movies (christmas is not christmas without 'the grinch', 'love actually' and 'the holiday'!)I've not posted in a while as I've been busy with college so I've set myself the task of '12 days of Christmas' outfit posts. I'm going to aim to do an outfit/blog post every day over the festive season! Today I'm wearing a cream beret from H&M with little pearls on it! It's so cute and cosy too. I paired it with my topshop grey tweed boyfriend coat and paisley leggings. I also brought out my Zara velvet pumps which aren't reallly that practical but I love them too much to stop wearing them, even if it is freezing! Thank you for reading! :)

autumn picks

Hello! It's now October, this year is going by so quickly! It's definitely autumn now. The thing I love most about A/W is the fashion! Knitwear and coats are appearing in the shops now. Here are some of my favourites!
1 . The Tartan Scarf I'd been looking for the perfect tartan scarf for the past two winters and finally found it in H&M the other day. It's quite long wide which is good for wrapping up! The red and black tartan pattern is quite versatile and adds a unique touch of colour to an outfit. £7.99, H&M 2. The oversized boyfriend coat/teddy boy coat
This coat is AMAZING! The oversized boyfriend style is really flattering and 'on-trend'. The faux fur collar is detachable so you can create different looks. The grey, white and black tweed pattern is also quite easy to match with different colours (particularly burgundy and dark green). 3. The Brocade Trouser
I've fallen in love with anything brocade this season! Both Zara and Asos have beautiful pairs of brocade trousers. I think they look great with a shirt, baggy knitted jumper and loafers for a smart, chic look.
4. The Wine Lipstick
I love dark lipsticks for Autumn and Winter. This Topshop one is definitely one I'll be trying this season! I also love Rimmel Starry Eyed, but it always seems to sell out in my local Boots! 5. The 'Slipper' shoe
I think these shoes would look great with Brocade trousers for a beautiful luxe look. I found these on ebay and they're available on Amazon too. I also love the oriental slippers from Office, now in the sale at £28!

victoriana

Hello! Apologies for the lack of posting, I've been busy on my final Summer School of this year! Now I'm just trying to get everything sorted for my last year of college (!) starting Friday.
I'm desperate to start dipping into A/W dressing but the weather is against me and it's suddenly become hot all of a sudden! In my latest outfit I'm wearing my favourite new blouse from Zara. The lace detail is so pretty! And, at £25.99, it's quite a reasonable price as I know I'll be wearing it a lot! I teamed it with my Levi shorts and my Office Norties boots. I'd been wanting them since last year and hoped they'd go into sale..they never did :( but office opened in my town a few days ago and I had to have them! Thanks for reading! xxx

There's no remedy for memory

Hello! Just a quick outfit post from yesterday. I picked up these floral print cropped trousers from Jack Wills. I've been looking for some printed trousers for a while and at £14, these were a bargain! I love the fit and the navy and grey floral print will take me through to A/W with a baggy jumper and boots! I paired them with my H&M crochet top which is so simple and gave the look a more relaxed feel. Thanks for reading! L xxx

london

Hello! The hot weather we're having at the moment is completely unexpected! I had assumed that the English summer had come to an end, but luckily the weather this week has been lovely! I was lucky enough to spend the last week in London. Usually I only visit London for the day as it's not too far to travel. Visiting each day for a week gave me the chance to get to know my favourite city a bit better! I visited the Globe, which was beautiful, and watched performances of Richard III and Henry V. At only £5 for a standing ticket, a visit to the Globe is a must! I loved exploring the South Bank; there was so much going on! The Olympics has been great for London and Britain as a whole I think; the atmosphere was amazing!
Another exciting part of my trip was the purchase of AA disco pants! I'd been looking for dupes for a while but decided to go for the real thing! Despite the pretty hefty price tag of £70, I am really pleased with them! It's too hot to wear them right now but I'm looking forward to using them in lots of outfits in the A/W months. My go-to summer outfit at the moment is the one in my latest LB look, http://lookbook.nu/look/3866820-studs-floral. I love the bright floral print and the dip hem shape of the dress. The floaty fabric is perfect for hot summer days! I teamed it with my Zara tan leather studded sandals. They were a sale bargain that I've worn nearly every day since I bought them! I bought this bag recently and although it's not particularly 'summery' the black with gold studs will take me through to the A/W season. Thanks for reading! L xxx

mint and lace

Hello! Another college outfit today. I was lucky enough to find this mint green and lace jumper in the Warehouse sale. I'd had my eye on it for a while and was excited to find that, with student discount, it had gone from £40 to £22.50. I think it's a great piece; it's a really nice light knit so it can be worn on a sunny day (like today) too! I also love the pastel mint colour. I teamed it with leggings and my cream and gold studded Topshop loafers. The Topshop studded loafers seem to be the only shoes I wear at the moment! Jumper - Warehouse £22.50 Leggings - H&M £5.99 Studded Loafers - Topshop £28 Thanks for reading :) xxx

wish list: camo jacket

Hello! I've been noticing a trend for camo jackets lately! At first I wasn't too sure but they've definitely grown on me! They're great for adding a grunge touch to any outfit. Also, with the rainy weather we've been having in the UK they're practical for keeping dry, especially at festivals! My favourite is the one of the camo jackets featured in Zara's June TRF Lookbook, as shown in the photo. I love the way the cute diamante detail adds a pretty touch! I love the way Fearne Cotton has mixed hers with different accessories (the Del Rey Mulberry! <3) for a unique grunge glam look. Urban Outfitters also has a great camo jacket, but it's pretty pricey at £48. Have a look on ebay to see if you can find your perfect camo jacket at a reasonable price! Thank you for reading :) xxx

black and white

Hello! My new look on lookbook! The weather is so changeable recently it's quite hard to know what to wear! As it was quite hot today I opted for a more summery look. I paired my crochet top from H&M with my dip hem skirt, also from H&M and my River Island black sandals. The top and sandals are from my summer wardrobe last year and I've definitely got a lot of use out of them! I really love the trend for dip hem skirts and dresses which has emerged this year. They're a perfect mix of mini and maxi - the best of each in my opinion! They can be easily dressed down or part of a more formal outfit with a bralet for a special occasion:) Thanks for reading! xxx

my favourite shirt and shoes

Hello! I thought I'd do an outfit post today. This is what I wore to college. My shirt is from Zara and I bought it in a bigger size than normal so I could wear it with leggings. It's a great length and I really like the baggy fit. I teamed it with my Topshop studded shoes, which I may have to buy a new pair of if I can find any! They sell out as soon as they come in in my local Topshop :(. I was inspired by Jessie J's outfit from an episode of The Voice. I love the disco pants and Jeffrey Campbells! I cannot enthuse enough about Zara at the moment! I can't walk in without falling in love with something else! I think they are great for delivering on trend key pieces which often aren't as expensive as Topshop or Urban Outfitters. I can't wait for the sale to start! :) Thanks for reading! :) xx

creepers

Hello! So after months of umming and aahing i've bought some creepers! I'd been looking at the Underground creepers, particularly the ones in Office. But at around £90, they were just a bit too pricey for me! However, they seem to be of a great quality and there are a lot of different colour combinations, so it's definitely worth keeping an eye out for any Office discount codes if you want to get your hands on some Underground creepers! I chose to buy a pair of black and leopard print creepers and..wait for it.. a PINK pair too! I love the pastel colour and how it contrasts with the edgy design of the shoe. I've already debuted my leopard print pair, now I just need to get the pink pair out there! I teamed my leopard print creepers with leggings, my Missguided American flag jumper and my Levi jacket. Another outfit I featured the creepers in was a bit more focused towards the shoes. I wore a white shirt with a black glittery jumper, leggings and my trusty Levi jacket (which probably wasn't the best choice as it's pouring with rain here!) I'll post pics soon! I got my creepers for the bargain price of £24.99 from a small shop in my town centre. I definitely recommend having a look in shops that don't necessarily always have something you like - you can be pleasantly surprised when you find an unexpected gem! Also, if you don't want to spend a lot of money on creepers there are some great ebay listings which can help! Also check out boohoo.com who stock a range of creepers, including a studded pair I might have to invest in soon! Thanks for reading!

hello! just a quick photo post in the beeeautiful bluebell woods! I love going to have a look around every year at this sort of time. It's so sad they don't hang around longer :( they'll have disappeared in a few weeks! so i'll be making the most of it while they're here! xxx

bargain! deichmann two tone flatforms

Hello! Bit of a random post today. I'm not quite sure how long it's been around, but a shoe shop called 'Deichmann' opened up in my town about a year ago. Until recently, I'd not been that bothered about it or even gone in! However, I've made my last two shoe purchases there! I bought a pair of cute leather look boat shoes for £14.99 and...TWO TONE FLATFORM WEDGES, again at just £14.99! They were on display and instantly caught my eye. I'd been looking for a pair of wedge flatforms after the lovely H&M black pair sold out in my size in my local store. I love the two tone detail, which looks like an Asos kind of detail. Despite being committed to flats for the daytime, these wedges are comfy enough to roam around in without too much trouble! They are also a complete bargain at £14.99! I couldn't quite believe the price! I definitely recommend heading to your local store or having a look at the website. You never know what you're going to find, even in the more unlikely shops!
you can have a look at the wedges here: thank you for reading! xxx

hair chalking!

Hello! I've been thinking about doing a coloured dip dye for a while. I'd heard about Kevin Murphy's Colour Bug, which is a product which will allow you to colour your hair and wash it out. I'd been intending to buy the Pink Colour Bug, but my local salon had run out. So I decided to try hair chalking! I used a chalk pastel to colour the ends of my hair. I was quite pleased with the results and it washed out really easily. There are quite a few useful youtube tutorials to tell you how to do it properly! It's important to use chalk pastels rather than oil pastels. It can also be a bit messy when you first apply it so if you try it, remember to wear old clothes! It's really easy to do so I'd really recommend it if you want to experiment with colour and still be able to wash it out!

aztec backpack

hello! apologies for the delay in posting, been busy lately!
Just a quick outfit post today. I bought this crochet crop top when I went to Camden last week. I can't wait until the weather's warm enough to be able to team it just with shorts and sandals! I'm also wearing my platform plimsolls. I love the height boost they give and they're a cheaper alternative to creepers. Again, I'm wearing my blue denim jacket which I can't seem to stop wearing lately! The weathers been a bit hit and miss lately so I still need the extra layer. I want summer to hurry up! I decided to debut my new Aztec backpack today! I'd been looking for one for ages when I found this one! It's a good size to be able to fit allll my stuff! I'm still a huge fan of aztec prints, so I think I'll be taking the Aztec trend into my summer wardrobe too!

Thanks for reading! :)

baroque print/ zara ss12

Hello! It seems like it's been winter forever but the season is finaaally drawing to a close! The shops are full of beautiful SS offerings but it's too cold at the moment to be able to wear most of them. :( My first piece of SS12 clothing is the shirt featured in my look 'R U Mine?' I saw it in Zara and fell in love! The baroque print isn't too gaudy and the muted colours and silky fabric give it a luxurious feel. My leggings are also from Zara, and they're really useful as they go with pretty much everything! I think Zara has done really well with its SS12 collections, taking on the trends and producing beautiful clothes! The TRF SS12 collection is outstanding, with amazing prints and colours. Now we just need the sun to come out to embrace SS12 fully!

skulls and stripes

another simple look today. I'm wearing a blue and white striped shirt which I was so excited to find! It's a good length to wear with leggings. My leggings are from H&M (£4.99), a far cheaper alternative to the much coveted American Apparel Disco Pants (£70). I opted for my teddy coat again today, and my Dr Marten boots. :)

collar and cuffs

Hello! I put together a fairly simple look today. I can't stop wearing a jumper and collar combination at the moment! Adding a plain white collar poking out over the top of a jumper adds a cute finishing touch. I added my oversize teddy boy style coat, a bargain in the New Look sale (it was £50 to start with and I paid £15!). My jumper was a bargain find, for £2.50! The bright colours and cute floral patterns make it a great transitional piece for spring. I added the studded shoes for a bit of edge!

the coat of many colours!

hello! sorry it's been a while. I've been wanting this Urban Outfitters coat ever since I saw it but couldn't justify spending so much on it! I was so happy to find it in the sale and have been wearing ever since. I love Urban Outfitters so much, but as there's not a store nearby I don't get to go there often :(. I love the jewel colours of the coat which are easy to pick out. I also love the cosy faux fur collar and the Aztec pattern. I'm still in love with the Aztec trends which are continuing into 2012. I decided to keep the rest of the outfit fairly neutral to allow the coat to stand out!

http://lookbook.nu/look/2880579-black-and-red
Hello! This is my first post in what seems like a loong time! I've been getting used to college and been busy with everything over Christmas! I received these amazing Topshop studded loafers and I LOVE THEM! They're so comfy and add a bit of edge to any outfit. Another of my recent obsessions is my bow tie from PRIMARK! I think it was only around £2, bargain!
